About Japan Inner Beauty Diet Association

We promote the Inner Beauty Diet.

“The Inner Beauty Diet enables you to continually care for your body from within (both intestines and mind) and realize beauty with a sense of happiness.”

To build beauty and health from within our bodies, we carefully select seasonal, fermented, whole foods, grown without use of pesticides, which help foster minds that value daily meals and nature as parts of themselves.

What we eat affects our physical, mental and spiritual well-being.

The cooking methods we provide are exceptional yet easily produced in your home, because we believe health and beauty start in the kitchen.

Our roots – Washoku

Washoku, or traditional Japanese food culture, has the characteristics of:

  • Respecting the four distinct seasons, expressing the beauty of the seasonal ingredients in the cuisine
  • Showing the beauty of local features in a long archipelago stretching southwest to northeast, surrounded on all sides by the sea
  • Valuing natural phenomenon through meals for special events
  • Demonstrating a spirit of gratitude by saying, “Itadakimasu (I shall partake)” and, “Gochisosama (Thank you for a wonderful meal)”

The Inner Beauty Diet Institution promotes this unique food culture nurtured by history, tradition and fermentation both in Japan and abroad.

In our hands-on classes we share the spirit of washoku to help you become healthy and beautiful, so that you may share many happy moments with your family and loved ones.

We cook thoughtfully to become beautiful.

We cook diligently to secure our family’s health.

We purchase whole seasonal vegetables to help the local economy, to cook tastier food, and to become more healthy after each meal.

Affectionately known as the “happy hormone”, 90% of serotonin is generated in the intestines.

Carefully prepared meals keep the intestines healthy and promote a sound mind.

To develop a healthy intestinal environment, we use:

  • seasonal ingredients
  • fresh, whole, nutritious foods
  • traditional seasonings that have been fermented before use in cooking.

We also respect our inheritance of the food culture that was nurtured by Japan’s history, traditions and fermentation processes, and endeavor to pass it on to the next generation.

To realize this goal, the Inner Beauty Diet Institute shows our students how to change themselves first then impart their knowledge to others after.
